Selstack is a platform for creators and businesses to build a public selling page, share individual offers, accept supported payments and bookings, and manage the resulting orders and customer details. A “Stack” is a selling page. This guide explains the relevant workflow and the seller’s responsibilities; payment methods, account requirements and some features depend on the business configuration and plan.
This task changes what a customer sees or can buy on a public Selstack journey. This guide focuses on how to describe the file, compatibility, licence, delivery and customer support path.
Before editing the offer
Open Stack and select the exact draft or published offer. Record its current title and public URL so you do not edit a similarly named item. The purpose of this task is to describe the file, compatibility, licence, delivery and customer support path.
Configure what the customer needs to know
Use a specific title, a truthful description and owned media. Confirm price, currency, delivery or booking details and any limitation that affects suitability. Ask only for customer information that is necessary to fulfil or support the offer.
Match access and fulfilment
Choose free, fixed-price or customer-decided access only when the plan and offer support it. Select the delivery outcome that actually follows completion: file access, a physical item, a service hand-off, an appointment or no delivery.
Preview before publishing
Use the live preview, then open the public page at a narrow mobile width. Check long titles, image cropping, amount, currency, fields, primary button and success message. A preview is not a successful payment test.
Publish or pause deliberately
Publish only when the customer promise and fulfilment process are ready. Pause or unpublish an unavailable offer instead of accepting an order you cannot fulfil. Reopen the public URL after saving to confirm the current version is visible.
Example: Configure Secure Delivery for a Digital Download Offer
A template bundle can allow download, protected view or both; the files should be uploaded before “Instant delivery” is promised.
If Configure Secure Delivery for a Digital Download Offer is not working
If a paid buyer cannot open a file, verify the order and immutable delivery snapshot before replacing the live product file.
Confirm the result
- Title, media, price, currency, fields and fulfilment details describe the same offer.
- The selected access and delivery options match what happens next.
- The signed-out mobile page shows the complete action without clipping.
- Only a ready, available offer is public.
When to ask Selstack for help
What Selstack connects for a digital product
A digital-product offer connects a public explanation of the resource to a private customer delivery experience. The seller describes the product, sets the amount and currency, and attaches the files or collection customers are entitled to access. After a successful qualifying purchase or free claim, the customer should be able to reach the promised resource through the supported receipt and purchase journey. This is different from simply putting a public file link in a social post: the offer, customer action and access record need to remain connected.
Prepare the finished resource first
Open every file you plan to deliver and check its contents, filename, format and version. Remove draft notes, accidental personal information and materials you do not have permission to distribute. For a template, explain the software or account a buyer needs and whether examples are included. For an ebook, review the reading order, links and display on a small screen. For audio, video or an image collection, check the actual media rather than relying on a successful upload message. Packaging should help the buyer start using the resource without guessing.
Write a truthful access promise
Tell customers what they receive, who it is intended for, and what it will help them do. Distinguish a downloadable resource from access to a course or a consultation with the creator. Explain the file formats, included components and any reasonable compatibility requirements. Avoid promising a result that depends on circumstances outside the product’s scope. A clear preview can demonstrate the style and level of detail, but it should not expose the complete paid resource. Keep an example or sample separate from the original delivery files.
Choose the customer’s access experience
Selstack’s digital access choices distinguish downloading, viewing or playing supported media on the platform, and providing both options. Choose the experience that matches the resource and describe it accurately. A view-oriented offer should not be advertised as including unrestricted downloadable files when that is not the configured promise. Equally, a buyer who purchases a downloadable workbook should not need to search a public gallery for the actual file. Test the relevant receipt or purchase-portal route using the same type of resource that customers will receive.
Use preview protection for its intended purpose
Artwork preview settings can add a text, logo or repeated-text watermark to displayed preview images. They do not rewrite the original files delivered to a customer. Choose wording and opacity that keep the preview useful while making its purpose clear. Review the result in the editor and on the public page, especially when a logo or small caption is important. Watermarks are a presentation tool, not a guarantee that material cannot be copied. The stronger foundation is keeping full resources in the appropriate private delivery workflow.
Make bundles easy to understand
A bundle should answer why its components belong together. List the included files or resources and explain which one the customer should open first. If two templates solve different problems, make that distinction visible rather than describing the bundle only by its total file count. Keep filenames consistent with the public description and avoid delivering several indistinguishable versions. Before updating a product, review how existing customers’ access and expectations will be handled. Do not silently replace a promised resource with a different offer because a newer version is easier to maintain.
Test the hand-off and support route
Review the public page, complete an authorised test journey and inspect the resulting confirmation. Confirm that the right resource is accessible and that the instructions are readable on a phone. Include a support route for a customer who cannot open a file or finds a broken link. When investigating, ask for a safe order reference and the name of the affected file, not the customer’s password. Compare the customer’s entitlement and payment status with the recorded order before deciding whether the problem is access, compatibility or an incomplete purchase.
Keep delivery questions separate from marketing
A purchase gives the business a reason to send necessary access and support information. It should not be treated as unlimited permission to send unrelated promotions. Explain any optional mailing-list invitation and respect the customer’s choice. If the resource is free and intended to introduce a paid offer, deliver the promised free item before asking for another purchase. A useful follow-up can show how to use the resource or answer a common question. The next offer should be relevant and clearly optional, rather than a condition added after the claim.
Maintain the product after launch
Schedule checks of the files, product description, previews and customer access links. Correct broken instructions and record significant version changes so support can identify what a buyer received. Read repeated questions as evidence about the product, not simply as a request to write more email replies. A clearer opening page, an installation note or a short worked example may solve the underlying difficulty. Selstack can connect purchase and delivery, but the quality, accuracy and ongoing usefulness of the digital resource remain the creator’s responsibility.
