Selstack charges a small transaction fee on each sale to cover payment processing and platform costs. The fees vary by currency: • Nigerian Naira (NGN): 10% + ₦100 per transaction • US Dollar (USD): 15% per transaction • British Pound (GBP): 15% per transaction • Other currencies: 15% per transaction Additionally, a 7.5% VAT is applied to the transaction fee in applicable jurisdictions.

When a customer pays in a currency that you cannot directly process (e.g., you're based in Nigeria but a customer pays in USD and you don't have a Stripe account), Selstack processes the payment on your behalf using our platform payment system. We then convert the funds to your local currency and credit them to your wallet. This ensures you never miss a sale due to currency mismatches.

When platform payments require currency conversion, we use real-time market exchange rates to convert funds from the customer's payment currency to your preferred payout currency. The conversion happens automatically, and you'll see the remittance amount in your local currency in your wallet.

Funds from sales are initially credited to your ledger balance with a security hold period. The hold varies by currency: NGN - 24 hours, USD/GBP - 96 hours. After the hold period, funds automatically move to your account balance, which you can withdraw at any time. Minimum withdrawal amounts are: • Nigerian Naira: ₦100 • US Dollar: $5 • British Pound: £5

The hold period is a security measure to protect both merchants and customers. It provides time to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions, chargebacks, and disputes. Hold periods vary by currency and payment gateway: NGN payments are held for 24 hours, while USD/GBP payments are held for 96 hours. Once the hold period passes, your funds are immediately available for withdrawal.

No, you don't need your own payment gateway. Selstack's platform payment system allows you to accept payments even without connecting external accounts. However, connecting your own Stripe or Paystack account can reduce fees and give you more control over your payments.

Yes! Selstack automatically handles multi-currency payments. Your customers can pay in their preferred currency (USD, GBP, NGN, EUR, etc.), and if you can't directly process that currency, our platform payment system will handle the conversion to your payout currency.

You can issue full or partial refunds through your Selstack dashboard. Refunded amounts are deducted from your account balance. If a refund occurs during the hold period, the funds are simply not transferred to your account balance. Transaction fees are not refunded.
