Create an email campaign

Prepare a focused campaign, choose the right audience and complete a careful pre-send review.

Last updated 2 August 2026

Email campaigns help you follow up with people who have an appropriate relationship and permission to hear from your business.

Selstack Campaigns screen showing campaign status cards and the create campaign control.
Campaigns is where you create drafts and review sending activity.

Start a campaign

  1. Open Emails from the workspace navigation.
  2. Select Create campaign.
  3. Give the campaign a clear internal name.
  4. Choose the intended audience or segment.
  5. Write the subject, preview text and message content.
  6. Add one primary call to action where possible.
  7. Save as a draft before scheduling or sending.

Review the audience

Send only to people your business is permitted to contact for that purpose. Exclude unsubscribed or suppressed contacts and avoid uploading lists whose source you cannot explain.

Complete a pre-send check

  • Sender identity and reply route are correct.
  • Subject and preview text match the message.
  • Personalisation has a safe fallback.
  • Links open the intended destination.
  • The message is readable on a phone.
  • Required unsubscribe or preference controls are present.
  • The schedule uses the intended time and timezone.

After sending

Review delivery and engagement signals in context. Do not treat one open as proof of interest. Use replies, link activity and customer outcomes to improve future messages.

Safety step: send a test to an account you control and read the complete email before scheduling the real audience.
