Selstack is a platform for creators and businesses to build a public selling page, share individual offers, accept supported payments and bookings, and manage the resulting orders and customer details. A “Stack” is a selling page. This guide explains the relevant workflow and the seller’s responsibilities; payment methods, account requirements and some features depend on the business configuration and plan.
This task changes workspace identity, access or public settings and should be reviewed before saving. This guide focuses on how to choose the public identity that accurately represents the workspace.
Confirm the result
Account settings can affect sign-in, public identity, teammates or payout access. Confirm the signed-in account and active business before you choose the public identity that accurately represents the workspace.
Review the current value and access level
Read the existing setting and identify whether it belongs to the person or active business. Team and additional-business controls require Pro. Do not follow instructions for a security control that is not shown in the seller Account tab.
Make the smallest necessary change
Enter only current information and use supported roles or controls instead of sharing a login. For public identity changes, preview the Stack. For access or security changes, verify the person and preserve a safe recovery or rollback path.
Save once and verify
Use the primary save or confirmation action once. Reopen the page and confirm the value, enabled state or teammate role. If the change affects public content, also inspect the signed-out page on mobile.
Respond safely to a mismatch
Stop if the resolved account, business, role or public destination is not the one intended. Capture a safe reference and visible message for official support without including passwords, OTPs, recovery codes, full bank details or identity numbers.
Example: Switch Between Creator and Business Identity
A named consultant can use Creator Account; an agency with a team and brand name can use Business without changing its subscription by identity alone.
If Switch Between Creator and Business Identity is not working
If the public badge or name does not update, save and inspect the real signed-out Stack for the active workspace.
Confirm the result
- The signed-in account and active business are the intended ones.
- The resolved identity, role or setting matches the requested change.
- Security and access changes have a safe recovery or review path.
- No password, OTP, recovery code or identity number appears in an ordinary message.
When to ask Selstack for help
Understand what the public profile represents
A Selstack profile introduces the seller behind the offers. Its name, image, description and contact choices help visitors decide whether they have reached the intended business or creator. The public selling page then brings published offers together in one place. Profile presentation is different from a paid subscription: choosing Creator Account or Business describes how the account appears and does not itself upgrade the plan. Use an identity customers will recognise from the channel where they discovered the link.
Make the name and description useful
Use the display name customers expect, and choose a username that is easy to recognise and share. The username contributes to the public address, so review existing links before changing it. Write the About text around what the business offers, who it serves and what visitors can do next. Replace exaggerated promises with concrete information. An independent visitor should be able to understand the business without already knowing its social profile or reading a long message elsewhere.
Choose a recognisable profile image
Upload a clear business logo or profile photograph that the business is entitled to use. Review the crop at the small size shown in the public header rather than judging only the original full-size image. Avoid essential wording that becomes unreadable in a thumbnail. A logo does not need to explain the entire offer; its job is to make the seller recognisable. Keep product photographs and campaign posters with the appropriate offers instead of repeatedly replacing the profile image for every short promotion.
Use appearance controls with a purpose
Start with a page style suited to the business, then adjust the available layout, typography, colours, card treatment and spacing. Selstack’s Page Skins provide illustrated backgrounds while keeping the seller’s content and other controls editable. Choose a background that supports reading rather than competing with the offer. Test text and button contrast against the actual page, including images and video previews. A colour that looks attractive in isolation may not be suitable for a small label, a disabled-looking action or text placed over a detailed background.
Review motion and mobile presentation
Ambient animation can add character, but it should not make the page harder to use. Check the selected motion level and the choice to show an ambient world on mobile. Visitors who prefer reduced motion should still receive a usable experience. Inspect the public page at a narrow width, including long product names, several contact buttons and media cards. A desktop preview can conceal wrapping or a crop that matters on a phone. Prioritise legibility and a clear next action over the number of visual effects selected.
Publish only the contact routes you want customers to use
Add a phone number with its correct country code, a WhatsApp number where appropriate, and the social profiles the business uses publicly. Review each visibility switch separately: storing a number and showing a call button are different choices. Open the resulting links from the public page and confirm the destination. For social profiles, use an accepted username or valid profile link rather than an unrelated website. Avoid publishing a private personal contact route merely because it happens to be available in the editor.
Understand automatic saving
Profile changes save automatically after a short pause in editing. Watch the visible status move from Saving to All changes saved before relying on a change publicly. If the status reports an error, the typed information remains in the editor, but it has not been confirmed as stored. Correct highlighted fields or use Try again after resolving a connection problem. Reconnecting can retry pending changes. Do not close or refresh a page with unsaved work unless you have preserved the information you need.
Check the saved result as a visitor
The live preview is useful for checking layout, but the public URL is the final reference. After the editor confirms a save, open the page in a separate signed-out tab and review the profile, contact routes and published offers. If the result is unexpected, first confirm the active business and the address you opened. A browser tab for another workspace can contain older information. Avoid repeatedly uploading a logo or changing unrelated settings while investigating; identify whether the issue is a pending save, the wrong page or a presentation choice.
Keep identity, verification and trust distinct
A well-presented profile helps customers recognise the seller, but it does not prove every claim on an offer. Where a verified-profile application is available, it is a separate review process with its own requirements. A paid promotion or Discover boost is not a verification badge. Keep descriptions accurate and support routes current regardless of the account’s visual style. The strongest profile is one whose identity, promises and customer experience remain consistent over time.
