International customers need to see a familiar currency and a trustworthy checkout, while the merchant needs a clear record of fees and remittance. Selstack managed payments supports structured cross-border collection without asking merchants to maintain gateway keys.
Choose the selling currency intentionally
Set the offer currency based on the market and price promise. Do not change currencies only to make a number look smaller; explain taxes, delivery and any conversion expectations.
Follow the amounts shown in checkout and Wallet
The customer sees the supported checkout for the offer currency. When conversion is required, the order preserves the customer amount and the merchant record shows the configured wallet currency rather than silently relabelling either value.
Review fees before launch
Direct NGN sales are 7.5% + ₦150 on Free or 6.5% + ₦150 on Pro. Direct foreign-currency sales are 8% + $0.50/£0.50/€0.50 (or the configured equivalent) on Free or 7% plus that fixed amount on Pro. Conversion adds 1.5% when required. Verified Discover sales are 10% total plus the fixed amount on either plan, with conversion included.
Reconcile in the merchant currency
Use the order, sale and wallet records rather than manually converting a customer screenshot. Preserve the original order currency and the recorded remittance details for a clean audit trail.
Review How to Accept International Payments With Selstack before publishing
Confirm customer currency, merchant currency, fees, fulfilment geography and refund handling.
Avoid this: Never promise a bank exchange rate or payout time that is not shown in the current Selstack record.
