Complete Create and Export a Product in Selstack Studio
- 1. Open Studio and choose the creation action. Describe the format, audience and result precisely enough to judge the outline.
- 2. Review the free concept and outline. Rename, reorder or reshape the idea before asking Studio to write more.
- 3. Open each section, edit the heading and content, then save it. Use optional Focused, Complete or Flagship generation only for the depth you need.
- 4. In Design & PDF, choose a starting style and edit all visible cover wording, including eyebrow and format label.
- 5. Set layout, typography and colours, then inspect Cover and Page in the live preview.
- 6. Choose Save & create PDF, download the file and inspect it before creating the draft Stack.
Confirm the result
All outlined sections contain reviewed content, the cover uses the creator’s wording, the downloaded PDF opens correctly and the resulting Stack remains unpublished until its sales details are ready.
If something is wrong
If the preview is stale, save the current section or design and reload once before repeating an action. If PDF creation fails, keep the editable project and report the Studio project reference. Do not pay for another writing job to solve a rendering issue.
Keep it safe: Use the signed-in Selstack record and a non-sensitive reference when asking for help. Never send a password, one-time code, full card number, identity information or unmasked bank document.
Use Studio to build a product, not just a document
Selstack Studio helps creators develop a digital-product idea into an outline, editable material, cover design and an exportable PDF. The creator remains responsible for the finished product. Begin with the person who will use it and the practical result it is meant to support. A workbook, reference guide and teaching manual require different structures even when they cover the same subject. Choosing the format deliberately makes it easier to decide what belongs in the product and what should be left out.
Make the concept narrow enough to deliver
Describe the intended reader, their starting point and the task they want to complete. A useful concept might help a new business organise its first week of customer enquiries; a vague concept promises to solve every problem in running a business. Use the free concept and outline stage to inspect the scope before choosing optional paid generation. Review the section order and remove headings that repeat the same promise. A focused outline gives both manual writing and optional AI assistance a clearer direction.
Review every generated section
Optional writing assistance can help develop material, but the output should be treated as a draft for the creator’s review. Check facts, examples, terminology and whether instructions can actually be followed. Replace generic statements with relevant explanations and practical exercises. Remove unsupported guarantees and claims about features or results that have not been verified. A reader should be able to tell what to do and why it matters. Increasing the requested length is not a substitute for improving an explanation that is unclear or inaccurate.
Make the design support reading
Choose an appropriate starting layout and review typography, colour, spacing and the hierarchy of headings. The cover should communicate the product title and purpose clearly at a small preview size. When adding optional artwork, treat it as a background that supports the cover text rather than a replacement for readable typesetting. Review the title, subtitle, creator name and other cover details independently. A sophisticated image cannot repair a title that is cropped, too small or difficult to distinguish from the background.
Understand when credits are used
Studio is available across plans, while optional generation, cover artwork and premium templates can use Selstack Credits. Credits are separate from the subscription. Review the displayed requirement and available balance before starting an optional job. Manual editing, saving and PDF rendering are part of the ordinary editing workflow rather than a reason to generate the same section repeatedly. If a job fails, inspect its status and the credit record before trying again. A stale preview alone should not lead you to start several identical paid jobs.
Verify artwork and job results
After an artwork job completes, check that the image appears in the intended cover background and remains attached after saving. If the result is missing, compare the job’s recorded state with the editor rather than assuming the request was never processed. Keep a safe job reference when asking support for help. Avoid sending account passwords or full payment credentials. For an unsatisfactory but completed result, review the available editing options and the next job’s credit requirement before generating a replacement.
Inspect the exported PDF
Export the product and open the actual PDF, not only the editor preview. Read the opening pages, a middle section and the ending. Check page breaks, tables, images, links and any exercises that depend on readable space. Inspect the document on a phone and at normal reading size on a larger screen. Look for text that overflows a page, headings separated from their explanation and examples that refer to material removed during editing. Correct the source and export again when necessary.
Prepare the selling and delivery journey
When the resource is ready, prepare its draft digital-product offer. Write the description around the contents and intended use of the finished file, not around what an early outline promised. Choose the price, currency, preview media and access arrangement. Verify that the file attached for delivery is the reviewed final version. A customer should receive what the public page describes. Keep the offer in draft while resolving missing sections, unclear rights or a delivery file that has not passed inspection.
Maintain ownership of the finished product
Use only materials the creator is allowed to distribute, and review any claims about third-party products or people. Explain limitations where a resource is educational rather than a substitute for individual professional advice. Keep a clear version history for meaningful updates so customer support can identify the file a buyer received.
